Toutefois, la production de laine de verre peut n\u00e9cessiter beaucoup d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Polystyr\u00e8ne expans\u00e9 (EPS)<\/strong> : L&rsquo;EPS est un mat\u00e9riau isolant tr\u00e8s efficace, mais sa fabrication n\u00e9cessite des hydrocarbures et lib\u00e8re des gaz \u00e0 effet de serre. Il n&rsquo;est pas biod\u00e9gradable mais \u00eatre peut-\u00eatre recycler. En tant que sous-produit du p\u00e9trole il est tr\u00e8s \u00e9conomique et n&rsquo;est pas \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine d&rsquo;extraction p\u00e9troli\u00e8re.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Laine de roche<\/strong> : La laine de roche a une empreinte carbone similaire \u00e0 celle de la laine de verre. Elle est fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de roche basaltique et de r\u00e9sidus industriels recycl\u00e9s, ce qui peut r\u00e9duire son empreinte carbone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fibre de bois<\/strong> : Les isolants en fibre de bois sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme ayant une faible empreinte carbone car ils sont fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de mat\u00e9riaux renouvelables et ont une bonne efficacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;isolation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Laine de mouton<\/strong> : La laine de mouton est un mat\u00e9riau isolant naturel et renouvelable, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re une empreinte carbone relativement faible. Cependant, l&rsquo;\u00e9levage de moutons peut contribuer aux \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, ce qui doit \u00eatre pris en compte.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Li\u00e8ge expans\u00e9<\/strong> : Le li\u00e8ge est un mat\u00e9riau isolant naturel et renouvelable avec une faible empreinte carbone. De plus, les arbres \u00e0 li\u00e8ge absorbent le CO2 lorsqu&rsquo;ils repoussent leur \u00e9corce, ce qui peut aider \u00e0 compenser les \u00e9missions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ouate de cellulose<\/strong> : La ouate de cellulose est fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de papier recycl\u00e9, ce qui lui conf\u00e8re une faible empreinte carbone. De plus, elle a une bonne efficacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;isolation et est biod\u00e9gradable \u00e0 la fin de sa vie.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est \u00e9galement important de noter que l&#8217;empreinte carbone d&rsquo;un mat\u00e9riau isolant ne doit pas \u00eatre le seul crit\u00e8re de choix.
